What to write when you want to journal but your brain feels loud

A simple journalling start for the days when you want to write but cannot find the first sentence.

Published

The loud-brain problem is that everything feels like the first sentence.

So do not start with a beautiful one.

Start here

Write:

Right now, my brain keeps opening…

Then list whatever comes next.

It can be practical, emotional, boring, tiny or half-finished.

If you get stuck

Use categories:

  • Home.
  • Family.
  • Work.
  • Me.
  • Later.

The page does not need to be neat. It only needs to hold what your head has been holding.
